lyong yu ยท 23 Oct 2026Walking Street, Pattaya โ The Wild Side of Thailand (2010) My visit to Walking Street in Pattaya in 2010 gave me a firsthand look at one of the most famous and controversial nightlife destinations in Southeast Asia. This was not simply a street filled with restaurants and nightclubs; it was the heart of Pattayaโs adult entertainment industry, where nightlife, business, and pleasure came together in a way that was impossible to ignore. As darkness fell, the street transformed into a dazzling world of neon lights, booming music, crowded bars, and nightclubs that stayed alive well into the early hours. Everywhere I looked, there was something competing for attention, from live performances and energetic dance venues to bars offering a more intimate kind of entertainment. A major part of Walking Streetโs business was its adult entertainment scene. Thai women and women from different countries worked in bars and other venues, meeting visitors and offering companionship and private services to consenting adults, often through arrangements made directly with customers. Some venues focused on go-go dancing and performances, while others operated around personal encounters and paid companionship. This side of Pattayaโs nightlife was one of the main reasons Walking Street attracted so many international visitors. What made the place particularly distinctive was its extraordinary mix of people, nationalities, businesses, and experiences. Tourists from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and other parts of the world mingled in the same crowded streets. For some, it was a destination for music and nightlife; for others, the main attraction was the adult entertainment industry that had made Pattaya internationally famous. Looking back at 2010, I remember Walking Street as a place of contrasts: glamour and excess, business and pleasure, curiosity and temptation. It was intense, colourful, and unapologetically commercial, offering a side of Thailand very different from its temples, beaches, and traditional culture. Walking Street was more than a nightlife attraction. It was the unmistakable symbol of Pattayaโs adult entertainment scene, where the night was a business in itself and the city revealed one of its most famous and unconventional identities.

Lucky Vasdewani ยท 20 Oct 2026The receptionist is racist and speaks poorly to customers. He kicked me out into the rain and wouldn't even let me wait for a taxiโall this when I had simply come to ask for directions to a museum. It was rude, barbaric behavior, purely because I am not Thai
