Bassac Street★★★★★

Sollte man gesehen haben! Viele schöne kleine und große Bar‘s. Es lohnt sich die Umgebung genauer anzuschauen, viele schöne Restaurants und Lounges sind im oberen Stockwerk.

Bassac Lane★★★★☆

One of Phnom Penh’s most charming little neighbourhood destinations and a wonderful example of how much character can be packed into a relatively modest space. Bassac Lane is best known for its lively bars and nightlife, but to appreciate it solely for its drinks would be to overlook much of its appeal. Tucked within its narrow alleyways is a delightful microcosm of intimate restaurants, quirky establishments and independent dining concepts, each bringing something different to the neighbourhood. The eclectic architecture, atmospheric lighting and cosy, almost hidden spaces create a wonderfully distinctive environment. There is a sense of discovery around every corner, making the experience considerably more interesting than the usual collection of conventional restaurants. The dining scene is particularly commendable, with an impressive variety of international cuisines and small, characterful establishments that reward a little exploration. The intimate settings and unpretentious atmosphere are precisely what make the area so appealing. While some visitors may come primarily for the cocktails and nightlife, I would argue that the restaurants deserve just as much attention, if not more. Bassac Lane demonstrates that a compelling dining destination need not rely on monumental architecture, elaborate interiors or large commercial developments. Sometimes, a collection of good hole-in-the-wall establishments is all it takes. Easily one of Phnom Penh’s most enjoyable little culinary enclaves, and a place well worth exploring beyond the drinks.

Bassac Street is definitely one of the lively spots to experience in Phnom Penh! The atmosphere is vibrant, energetic and full of character, especially in the evening. There’s a great mix of restaurants, bars, cafés and local vibes, making it a nice place to walk around, enjoy good food and drinks, and soak in the city’s nightlife.

This place is great, various restaurants offering all sorts of choices, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, khmer,Italian all stacked down an alley, Reminded me of Koh San Road back alleys in the late 80s early 90s when they cared about service and quality.....there are Bars and clubs scattered around but before 1030pm its still very family friendly . Great atmosphere hopefully it stays this way but progress usually kills spots like this so go now before it all changes. It is a must go to area while your in Phnom penh its special and they wont realise how good it is until it isn't there anymore. 100% a must visit spot after 5pm.
