How much does a beer cost on Bangla Road?

A local beer at an open-air Bangla Road bar commonly falls between 100 and 180 THB in the reviewed 2026 guides. Happy-hour boards can show less. A larger serve, premium bar or late-night club can push the same order toward 180–300 THB.

Check the size before comparing two boards. A small bottle, large bottle and draft pint are different purchases. Imported and craft beer should not be measured against the cheapest local lager either.

Three open-air bar beers at 150 THB each cost 450 THB. The same three drinks at 250 THB inside a club cost 750 THB. That 300 THB gap is enough to change a tight night-out budget.

What do cocktails cost in Patong?

Use 200–350 THB as a working range for an ordinary cocktail around Bangla Road. Budget menus can start closer to 150 THB, while premium drinks may reach 500 THB. Spirit brand, pour size and venue type account for much of the spread.

Buckets and shared drinks need separate treatment. A low headline price may refer to a different volume or recipe, and a large shared drink is not a fair comparison with one cocktail. Read the item description instead of relying on the largest number printed on the sign.

Two cocktails at 300 THB take 600 THB from the evening budget. Add two club drinks at 250 THB and the drink total reaches 1,100 THB before entry or a ride home.

Do clubs on Bangla Road charge entry?

There is no single Bangla Road entrance fee. Some clubs admit guests free on regular nights. Others use a 300–500 THB cover that may include a standard drink. International DJ dates can carry 500–2,000 THB tickets.

The inclusion matters more than the door number alone. A 500 THB ticket with one drink is not equivalent to 500 THB entry followed by a separate order. Check the event page on the day, then confirm the included item at the door.

Illuzion is a useful example of the variation. Phuket 101 lists free entry on quiet nights and 500–2,000 THB for events. The same guide quotes an 800 THB open-bar option and a VIP minimum starting at 5,000 THB. Those offers answer different needs and should never occupy one “entry price” cell.

Three budgets that work without bottle service

Keep 1,000 THB for a simple bar night

Four beers at 150 THB use 600 THB. The remaining 400 THB provides room for a more expensive round or a small reserve. This plan assumes free bar entry and does not include food or transport.

Bring 1,500 THB for bars and one club

Three beers at 150 THB cost 450 THB. A 400 THB club cover and two 250 THB club drinks bring the venue total to 1,350 THB. If the cover includes one of those drinks, 250 THB returns to the budget.

Use 3,000 THB for cocktails and club drinks

Three 300 THB cocktails, a 500 THB entry and three 300 THB club drinks total 2,300 THB. The remaining 700 THB covers price differences or an extra order. Food, transport, tables and bottle service remain separate.

The arithmetic is intentionally visible. Change the number of drinks or replace a free-entry night with an event ticket and the total updates immediately.

When should you check the price again?

Check twice: before leaving the hotel and at the venue. Special events can move the club price beyond the regular-night range. Promotions can move it in the other direction.

Read the current event page for clubs. At bars, photograph the menu or keep the bill where you can review each round. Ask whether service or tax is included when the menu does not say. Do not accept an unpriced order from a street tout.

What about massage prices in Phuket?
