⭐ 1 Star – Extremely Disappointing Experience My experience at Mari Queen Hotel was extremely disappointing. The room was in very poor condition, with visible fungus/mould in several places and a strong damp/musty smell. It felt unhygienic and very uncomfortable to stay in. We reported the issue to the reception, but unfortunately, they did not take the matter seriously or provide any proper solution. We were not offered a suitable room change, and despite the poor room condition, no refund was provided. Instead of understanding our concern and helping us, we did not receive a satisfactory response from the hotel staff. The actual condition of the room was very different from what was shown in the booking photos. Considering the amount paid, this level of cleanliness, maintenance and customer service is completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if cleanliness and hygiene are important to you.

We were not given a satisfactory room change, and no refund was provided despite the poor condition of the room. The service was also very poor and disappointing. The staff were not helpful or responsive when we raised our concerns. The actual condition of the room was very different from what was shown in the booking photos. Considering the amount paid, the cleanliness, room condition and service were completely unacceptable. I would not recommend Mari Queen Hotel to anyone.

Located conveniently at main road. Toiletries and towel provided. 24 hour reception, speak English. Need request clean up room if required. Can checkin late, baggage can be stored. Wifi and lift provided. Water pressure for shower is good but takes a minute to be adjust water temperature. Able to hear upstairs shower and car horn outside other than that, was great. They take picture of review upon checkout.

Please read this carefully before booking. There appear to be many forced and fake reviews of this hotel. When you walk in, the staff are unfriendly and won’t even look at you when you enter/exit the building. Upon entering our room, there was a significant smell of damp mould which was also evident on the roof of our room. It stank. The TV is mounted to the glass panel and there is no proper drainage for the shower, so as soon as you turn it on the bathroom has flooded. On the plus side, the bed and pillows are reasonably comfortable. In terms of location, it really is in great proximity and has many great services/restaurants/cafes nearby, and is a 15-20 minute walk into Nguyen Hue walking street. Whilst we booked this as a budget option (45 aud/night) we should’ve spent a slight bit more money and booked at many of the nicer looking hotels in the area.

I stayed here for 3 nights and it was great. The best thing about the place is the location which is quite convenient as it's located near Bui Vien Street, a nightlife area. It's also located near most of bus stations from Cambodia. If you're traveling between Cambodia and Saigon by bus, it takes less than 10 min walking from most of the bus stations. The room isn't that big, but it's quite common in Vietnam. Well, I wish it had a proper balcony though. It actually just has tiny balconies for you to see the outside.

I give 4 stars just because the staff is 5 stars. Hotel uses solar panels so when it is raining forget about hot shower. It is warm. Message to the owner : 'who is supposed to be blamed because of stupid decision? You dont set solar in the hotel, because it is not sufficient If you save like that, then reduce rental price". Also wifi speed is slower or non existant in the evening. They suggested to connect to other room wifi's but same problem persisted. Staff is amazing though.
