O Bar

We went to Obar on a Thursday night at around 11 PM, and it wasn’t crowded at all—only around 5 tables were occupied when we arrived. There was no entrance fee, door charge, or table fee that night. The waiter simply told us that we just needed to order, and there was no minimum order required. I had actually messaged Obar beforehand through Instagram, and they said table reservations were ₱4,000 consumable. Thankfully, when we arrived, they didn’t charge us for the table. I’m guessing the table fee may apply more during Fridays and Saturdays, so it’s better to check ahead and come prepared. We ordered their cocktail pitcher for ₱2,000. It was quite strong for 2 people and a good amount for 3 people. 🍹 The Drag Show was amazing and really fun, even though there were no guest performers or special events that night. If you simply want to watch drag queens, enjoy the performances, and have a fun night out, Obar is definitely worth checking out. 💃✨ The staff were friendly, and the bathrooms were decent, with tissue and soap available. A few things to note: 🥶 The air-conditioning was really cold, so bring a jacket. 🔊 Avoid sitting too close to the speakers, especially before the Drag Show. It gets very loud, and my ears were actually hurting a bit. 📅 If you're going on a Friday or Saturday, I’d recommend messaging them beforehand regarding table/door fees. Overall, we had a great time! The Thursday night atmosphere was chill, the drinks were strong, and the Drag Show was the highlight. 👑💃 Great place if you're looking for a fun drag night without the crowd being too overwhelming.

La música es genial y es imposible no dejarse llevar y disfrutar. Y los shows de las drags… ¡madre mía! Increíbles. Tienen muchísimo talento, presencia y consiguen montar un espectáculo realmente espectacular. Nos encantaron. También quiero destacar la atención de los camareros: de 10. Siempre amables, atentos y con muy buen rollo. Pero quizá lo que más me gustó fue cómo me hicieron sentir. En ningún momento tuve la sensación de ser un turista que estaba simplemente de visita; me sentí uno más entre todos ellos, disfrutando de la noche y formando parte del ambiente. Una noche divertidísima y un recuerdo fantástico de Filipinas. ¡Totalmente recomendable! 👏🏳️‍🌈❤️

The Philippines is full of scammers. Just because someone is a foreigner doesn’t mean you should take advantage of them. They told us we needed a reservation or had to pay 1,000 pesos. This is absolutely ridiculous, especially when one local guy only paid 300 pesos. But because I’m a foreigner, I was charged 1,000 pesos just to get in. Since when is a reservation required for a club? I understand paying an entrance fee, but trying to charge a foreigner 1,000 pesos is outrageous—especially when I would have readily spent money on drinks and tipped the bartenders. I highly do not recommend coming to this place.

Fun and lively gay bar with friendly staff and a good atmosphere. The shows are not exactly premium-class, but still entertaining. Costumes are quite attractive and eye-catching, and the cocktails are decent. Prices are a bit on the high side for what you get, but overall, still a fun place for a casual night out ✨

Stunning, fabulous, fantastic! Performances were absolutely world-class. Service was AMAZING. Food and drinks are delicious and priced well. Place was the cleanest club I've ever been to (floors were not sticky at all!!!) and the air conditioning was strong! I felt safe, entertained, and happy all throughout. Would love to come back and will be raving about this place for years and years to come. Only wish there was a communal tip box, as having to tip the queens, dancers, and other performers individually becomes a hassle when you don't have 35 smaller bills or you have to look around the whole place to find who you really want to tip.
