Good layout everything you need, full of guys on a Sunday afternoon …. PITCH BLACK. As in holding your hand out in front of you to feel where you are going, like Jodie Foster towards the end of the Silence of the Lambs. And it’s like that everywhere except the locker room and the toilets. This makes the wet areas a potential death trap and in the cruising areas you can’t see who you might or might not want to make out with - as in can barely even make out that there’s someone standing near you at all. Cheap entry fare.

As a tourist experiencing the local LGBTQ culture, it is definitely much more affordable as a whole compared to Bangkok or other international cities. I've seen some people bring up the issue of different prices for locals and tourists, but that's actually something very common in Bangkok too. The other thing I really don't understand is why locals insist on wearing masks in such dark environments. At first I thought it was just shyness, but then I found it really hard to evaluate—I think it's worth writing a whole new paper on this. To sum it up in one sentence: It's too dark and there are no speakers. If they could play some background music, it would actually be even better. And honestly, yeah, some snooty people will just give you a cold look for no reason. Sure, and the best part is there's this super cute kitty at the door

I visited Hero Spa at around 6 p.m. on a Friday, and it was extremely busy. The entrance was packed with motorbikes, with a few customers also arriving by car. Most local visitors appeared to be in their 20s or 30s. Foreigners were a noticeable minority—perhaps around 10% during my visit—and some customers spoke English, although speaking Khmer generally makes locals feel more comfortable. The ground-floor locker room is very bright and has mirrors, so faces are clearly visible. Bring a mask if complete discretion matters to you, although only a small minority wore one. Most customers simply walked around wearing the provided towel. Beyond the locker room is a gym with colored lighting, followed by showers where people exercise, clean up, relax or chat. I understand that there is also a jacuzzi or hot-tub area, but I did not use it. Upstairs are two darker cruising floors. The first begins with a relatively visible bar and seating area, followed by a maze, private rooms, showers, a toilet and a completely dark section. Once my eyes adjusted, I could see bodies and outlines, but not faces. The top floor has more rooms and is slightly brighter. It also has showers, a balcony with lounge chairs and a clock that becomes visible when you stand close to it. The balcony is useful for cooling down, chatting or simply resting. Private rooms vary: some have padded platforms, while others are basic. Their red lights can be adjusted or turned off completely. Rooms have fans but no air conditioning, so the maze can become hot and steamy. Condoms are available near the entrances to the cruising floors, although you may need to ask where they are. The best trick for navigating is to sit still for several minutes and allow your eyes to adjust. After that, moving around becomes much easier. The atmosphere is different from brighter Western gay saunas. Some visitors socialize first, while others prefer immediate, mostly nonverbal cruising. Physical approaches are common in the darker areas, and reciprocal touching is often interpreted as interest. However, it should never replace consent. I occasionally needed to say no more than once, so everyone should communicate clearly and respect every refusal immediately. Someone resting on a lounge chair is not necessarily inviting an approach. Most people were friendly, and the staff were accommodating and regularly cleaned the facility. The venue appears to close at around 10 p.m., although staff did not rush everyone out at the exact closing time during my visit. Overall, this is probably the nicest dark-style gay sauna I have visited in Phnom Penh. I recommend it to people who enjoy a large venue, a predominantly young crowd and an anonymous cruising atmosphere. It may be less suitable for anyone uncomfortable with darkness, or direct physical approaches.

This place good, but not enough it needs better upkeep. The room smells unpleasant and doesn’t feel clean. There aren’t enough showers or private rest areas for couples to relax after intimate time; a warm-water shower would be a major improvement. The changing room has extremely bright lighting that feels uncomfortable. Overall, the facility would benefit from more regular maintenance and thoughtful decoration—consider a softer, more welcoming style (Asian, European, or modern Western) to create a cleaner, more relaxing atmosphere.

The best spot around. About 100 good-looking guys from Phnom Penh gather here every night. It has a gym and a bar on-site. There’s also a steam room, a dry sauna, and a bathtub. It’s incredibly dark inside—you’ll definitely get lost if it’s your first time. If you’re visiting Phnom Penh, this is a must-visit spot. Everyone there is in their 20s, but they don’t mind if you’re in your 50s, and even if you’re overweight, they’re still friendly. Maybe the young people in Phnom Penh are just really kind.

Ich kann nichts positives sagen. Unfreundliches Personal, keine Bar, alles ist so dunkel, dass du weder die Duschen verwenden kannst noch Sauna. Es geht hier nur um sex. Es ist also keine Spa sondern ein Sex Ort. Außerdem ist alles sehr unhygienisch, die Schuhe werden nach den Kunden nicht gereinigt.

I dont understand what the foreigners are complaining about. I'm also a foreigner and the new price is still incredibly cheap! Good luck finding anywhere else at this price ...and why shouldn't we pay more. We earn more and therefore from time to time we pay more If you dont like it go pay 15$ to be surrounded by old men $5 is still incredibly cheap. The facilities are great smand the clientele is also good Perhaps it is a good thing that a few cheap foreigners aren't going anymore
